The Livin' is EasyAnd the t-shirt I painted at eleven in grass  was not splattered with colors so bright as your grin.  You emphasize emotion in a carnival night  in the light and spinning people, distanced by the road.  Climb the fence.  Leap up over, snagging something  in the pale moon, in the excitement of summer.  This is when we were little.  This is when  we did not know that we were little.  I never knew that the trees came alive after drinking red kool aid  and it’s the first time, and there is nothing so bright  as the sparklers burning to their twisting ends in the dim.  Ligh The Livin' is Easy

Story of Why We Have SeasonsWhen, my child, the earth had two separate halves,  one raged with vainglorious heat, wild fire,  the sun’s only stay.  The other packed solid ice into  crystalline shapes, blizzards spanking its white shores  
clean like a fresh kitchen floor.  A little boy lived in snow,  keeping a house like an ice cube tray; a tiny girl baked herself  brown in red-hot sand and bright-skied jungles.   
The boy didn’t even need furs  to be warm in the white slushed piles of snow.  He loved them!  Jumped, crashed about, slid in delicate flakes  until, quiet, he let icy still Story of Why We Have Seasons

at your throat.  You stick out your lip as we vacuum her car;  your toes are like fingers.  Your hair glints like a full-blown dandelion.  All a rectangle, you square off with the treasure hunt,  scheming to the tune of what you hope is a ho-ho.  Her name is a short ode from your lips,  your tears—every one a tear for her parting.  When you blacken your eye—with a Sharpie—for sympathy—  she buys it and kisses your face.  You let me in. &nbs Yeshua

The First that E'er I Sighed For

I just put my show up! I decided to call it "The First That E'er I sighed For" for two reasons.
First, it contains a lot of poetry about my first experiences as a child with different things, new experiences with religion, and new experiences with love. There are also a few new takes on long-ago stories, so it's the first time it's been looked at in a new way. Second, it's my first art show. ;-) The line is from The Tempest, which I'm producing right now (we're about to do our second weekend). Thanks, Shakespeare!
I submitted a subsequent deviation with a picture to show you all how pretty it is. I am really thrilled with how it turned out, even though it was insanely time-consuming. Thanks, everyone, for all of the support in helping me figure out technicalities of a few pieces and supporting me in having the brazen audacity to have a show in the first place. I am really pleased.
